Renegade Pro Gets it Done

I purchased both the Renegade Pro and the Gambit Pro backpacks because I could not decide which one would work for me without getting my hands on them. I was looking for a backpack for work purposes so I could sling it over a shoulder or full-on wear it if I need to. The first thing I learned, that was not obvious from the online descriptions, is that both of these bags have the same overall volume at 25 liters. And, for the most part, they are almost identical in design. The difference between the two is the side pockets. The Renegade Pro has three overall side zip pockets plus a water bottle pocket. The Gambit Pro has one larger zip pocket on one side and the water bottle pocket on the other. Ultimately I found that I wanted more, smaller pockets and ended up keeping the Renegade Pro and returning the other one. I have been a fan of OGIO bags for a long time and have always felt like they build a good product. So far, so good on my daily use of the Renegade Pro. Pros: * Build quality is great * Zippers are sturdy and smooth operating * I love the RSS design for the laptop pocket -- I don't have to worry about accidentally setting the bag down too hard on the ground. * I really like the structured zip pocket on top for fragile items like sunglasses Cons: * I wish the water bottle pocket were more of a stretch pocket so it could hold my fatter bottle, or a Nalgene. Both of the bags I tried had the more slim water bottle pockets.

Incredible backpack! Top notch!

After borrowing my husband's Ogio pack for a carry on only flight, I was hooked! I had to have my own. I have now used my Renegade Pro backpack for two trips and the amount of clothing and “stuff” I can carry in it is amazing. The accessory pouch at the top is one of my favorite features. As my Ogio Renegade pack is laying under the seat in front of me on a plane, I can easily access that pouch for my glasses, a snack, and my phone. The construction of the pack is unmatched by any other brand and the quality is fantastic! I don't usually travel with my laptop, and the laptop section can hold a lot of items (clothing, socks, etc). This pack will bring me a lot of joy for many years to come!

Just about perfect for travel!

Not sure I can come up with ideas for improvement. The pack is perfect for travel. It has plenty of external pockets to keep things handy (ID, passport, tickets, sunglasses, etc.) and organized. Perhaps the only think I would wish for are less logos and a simpler (no/less logos) internal fabric. I really do not like to look like a walking billboard for any brand. Discretion is a must for a classy piece. By the way, the zippers are the smoothest I have handled in a long time.
