I was very skeptical which brand and where I was going to buy a ramp for my dogs. I have a medium size chow chow and a large size Gordon setter... My male chow chow is very uncomfortable being picked up and my Gordon setter is 11 and having some arthritis so I figured a ramp would help. When I bought it I tested it out myself. Im about 235lbs and was able to walk on it. It may move a little so I was a little nervous but it still held my weight fine.. my dogs were so skeptical if this. It took me about 30 min to get them to go on it but they seemed fine once they walked up it. Getting off the vehicle I also had to convince them to not jump off but go down the ramp and they eventually did and will get use to it. Im just sharing this cause your dog may not walk up and down it without some convincing. But I feel overtime mine will get more and more comfortable with it. I do think I may buy another one and have 2 ramps at a time. One is doable but I feel two is better when you have medium and a large size dog. I know id be more comfortable if i was walking up with two of them. I also love the clip on it. This is a big reason I bought this one. It is very safe and secure!!!
