Dim lighting

I hope hoping that I would be super surprised with the quality at such a low price point. I saw so many mixed reviews on more expensive mirrors. With people complaining of lighting issues. Sometimes the quality exceeds the price and i was hoping for a hidden gem. Unfortunately not this time. The mirror is light but not flimsy. It looks good but the lighting is for ambiance only. It does not brightly light up my face at all. My room lighting is yellow in hue, and i set this mirror up at night, and with it at max power i felt i could miss details while doing my hair. I thought of sending it back, but in my haste I recycled the box and for a cost in the $40 range, I'm considering adding some stick-on lights around it or on the wall and keep it moving. Until I'm sure I'll enjoy using a vanity and investing in a high quality mirror is worth it. The picture I uploaded shows that the desk is not lit up brightly.
