When it comes to my health care products it's the best money I've ever spent. Having bone on bone in both knees for years now I've had to use two canes to get around. It's awkward and with the pain in my hands and shoulders it causes when using two canes (which I already had bursitis in both shoulders and torn rotator cuff in one) was getting unbearable to get around. I have a cart but there's too many places I can't go and it's kind of a pain having to put it in and out of car. I started to get a pair of these forearm crutches at a medical supply store, which were $200 but when I saw these for under $40 and good reviews (you can tell which reviews are honest customer reviews and which ones are just trying to sell something) I figured if they they didn't work for me or were just too cheaply built I'd only be out $40 instead of $200 . I couldn't believe the difference they made and the comfort of using them, even with bad shoulders. The hand grips are phenomenal. They are a huge part of what makes the difference, and the swivel arm bands made it that much better. I was torn on whether to get these full circle arm bands or go with different ones that have just the open brace that your arms go against. Again, this was the right choice. And the rubber ends are the best I've ever seen or used and I've been using canes and crutches going on 20 years. They stick to the floor without any slipping or sliding whatsoever. In fact, sometimes you can hear a slight pop when you are walking because they are concave on the bottom which forms a slight suction on the floor. They are great. And the way the height adjustment is designed on the lower section (2 spring loaded pins 180* from each other) you can turn the lower bar 180* every so often to keep the rubber ends wearing evenly instead of all on the same side. That's something you don't find on most other canes or crutches and for the cherry on top they give you an extra pair. After using these crutches for a couple weeks, the ONLY thing I see that I have a small problem with is the arm bands are a little too small for my arms. But that is more of a problem with me and not the crutches. I have big forearms and these are made for average. They fit most people that use them. It's not that big of an issue because it looks like they had people like me in mind when they designed them. The forearm bands have a slit in them on the opposite side of the mount which allows them to spread quite a bit with your arm. They are plenty forgiving so that they won't dig in your arms or feel tight yet they are very sturdy. I've written this super long review because I know there are many out there who have wasted a lot of time and money trying to find something that actually works and helps. I know these won't help everyone or make everyone happy but I can only tell my experience along with the little things that matter to me.
