I would recommend this pad for wheelchairs it gave me additional height that I needed in my chair and makes it a little easier for me to get out of the chair I'm tall and I need all the heights I can get . Item feels firm and keeps its shape yet is still contours to your backside. I've only recently purchased it so I don't know about the longevity of the cushion but I'm very happy with my purchase.
