A worthwhile investment in safety

Good investment in bathtub safety. Works best on a straight wall tub. Outside screw mechanism folds flat to the appliance, saving space. Inside tub is a flat metal plate, which protrudes about an inch and could cause a problem if you catch your leg or toe on it when entering or exiting the tub. Very sturdy once it is installed, and I like the shape of the grabbing surface and the fact that it is not parallel to the tub wall.

Makes a BIG difference

Glad I got this stabilizing rail as a precaution. Now I take baths more often! Do not put-off getting one if you are a bit off balance. It is an aide when getting out of the tub as well, to brace. It does it's job well, but do not expect it will pull up a 250 pound person. It is just plastic and screws. My bathtub is low, and I wonder about the waterline covering the point of contact. Make sure to wash away scum when screwing closed on your tub.
