Rigidizer is a Colloidal Silica Compound, that can be used as a cohesive agent for various fireproof materials which are used for insulation across various industries. This is widely applied for treating the surface of ceramic fiber materials like boards, blankets, vacuum-formed components, and modules for increasing the hardness and erosion resistance of the surface. We also deal in a wide range of quality ceramic fiber products like Ceramic Fiber Blanket, Board, Bricks, Paper, Ceramic Wool, and plenty more. Applications: Surface Coating of Ceramic Products exposed to high-velocity gases & flame impingement. Cohesive agent for ceramic blankets, boards, paper, and for making other composites too. For the surface treatment of vacuum-formed shapes to increase the firmness and solidity of its surface. Mix with water 1:1 makes 32 Oz. This is enough to rigidized 1 piece of 24” x 24” ceramic fiber blanket
- HIGH-TEMPERATURE INSULATION - This coating increases the insulation value of ceramic fiber materials and can withstand temperatures up to 2300F
- HARD SURFACE FINISH - Rigidizer makes the surface finish after application with increase resistance to mechanical abrasion and helps flexible ceramic fiber material from being too flaky

Worked good on my stove insulation
I had to replace my wood stove's insulation board which was broken into pieces. I opted to go with ceramic fiber insulation because it would be easier to install. Wearing long sleeves, gloves and a mask, I painted the insulation on both sides over the course of several days, outside of course. The bottle was enough to do the entire piece and it worked as advertised. Now the insulation is installed and the stove has been going since November. The coating should help the fiber insulation last 5-10 years. It was easy to work with and you could tell the difference in the insulation because the Rigidizer coating was true to its name.
