Unsecured supply lines shoot water across bathroom

My Moen Zyla faucet looked great until I turned the water on, and a few seconds later, the supply lines shot out of the bottom of the faucet and started spraying jets of water all over the inside of my vanity and across the room. In terms of the main purpose of a faucet, controlling the flow of water and directing it to where you want it, it failed completely.
