The book was written with the hope for this history to enrich the lives of future generations. It is a detailed, thorough record including everything that was important to the community—water, the church, bears, mining, local natives, and the school. Many people have ancestors who resided in Paradise, and they have been very willing to share their stories. Many have written histories to be included in the book; others have abridged histories so they could be included. These histories helped make the book possible. Sources are included in each section to help locate more specific records.
