Similar complaint with others. I ordered a 9.5 standard width. Had about 3/8 of an inch of excess room front, back and both sides with standard white cotton sweat socks. Added an arch support. That helped. Added heavyweight wool socks. That helped more. Still a little loose. Comfortable wearing around the house, on short walks or on motorcycle rides, but they still probably would blister after a mile of hiking. Not what you or I want to see in a "hiking" boot. Also, boot tops chafe a little above the ankle with the top strap cinched down tight enough to minimize slipping. Haven't tested the boots for watertight integrity.
