Not exactly as advertised

I purchased this to convert my generator to an alternator. The appearance is pretty close and it is much lighter than the generator. The product description however says "Designed to fit Generator Bracketry" and this is not the case. The distance between mounting lugs on the alternator is too narrow. I had to remove part of one mounting lug on my bracket and then weld a reinforcement in place to adapt it. The performance is yet to be seen and it may work out to be a good product. Just be aware this is not a direct bolt on.
