[I got this item for free in exchange for a review] The instructions for assembly were easy to follow if you're a visual person who is good at assembling stuff. Otherwise, it is a bit confusing and easy to miss some details. I marked those details out in my photos - easy to get the walls upside down and the bottoms mixed up. See my gloved white hand pointing to the screw holes aligning on the bottom. (Don't put them on the top!) I took away a star because I actually had to bend the bottom piece that fits inside the metals walls in order to get it to fit properly. Otherwise, the black paint is high quality and there are no sharp edges on the inside or outside! I love that it comes with some grippy protective fabric gloves so your hands don't have to be all red and dry by the end of assembly. As for the actually usage, it looks great and holds plenty of dirt. It is a nice size, not too big (goes up to my mid thigh and I am 5'2). You can leave out the middle inner piece if you want to fill the whole thing with dirt. I would recommend placing large pebbles or stones at the bottom so help with drainage. One issue I see with the design is that I think some little Texas spiders or other critters are going to crawl in the cool looking triangle cut outs. I'm using this on a second floor balcony, so hopefully that deters pests. But I can also see this getting dusty inside, and you can't really clean the inside unless you take the dirt out and disassemble. However, if you have a hose you may be able to rinse it out. My photo shows two plants, and I actually just left them in the pots and I think it looks nice that way and easier to switch them out. But I may fill the whole planter with dirt sometime later. As for the value, I think this is a bit overpriced for what it is, and I probably wouldn't have spent that much on a planter if I hadn't received it for this review. However, it is definitely high quality metal and paint, and is very sturdy. So I also think it is built for the outdoor weather (and maybe that is why for me, the value is overpriced since I am using it in a covered area).
