PLA (Polylactic Acid) An environmentally friendly 3D printing material. PLA is a non-toxic, biodegradable thermoplastic aliphatic polyester derived from renewable resources such as corn or starch. It has a lower extrusion temperature compared to ABS and typically does not require a heated bed. PLA is the default recommended material for many desktop 3D printers.
