Hands down the most beautiful sink and big enough to bathe in--seriously, the 43 inch sink (which is the dimension including the lip--the basin itself is closer to 41") is large enough for 2 people to stand at the sink side by side and wash dishes at the same time without elbowing the other person out of the way. I love the large single basin because I can put a soaking tupperware on one side and I can rinse on the other, or just leave the whole basin open. You could actually have two faucets side by side with this sink and it would not look out of place. (We are using one faucet plus one independent side sprayer which has its own thermostatic valve and on/off paddle so 2 people can use it at the same time with separate water sources.) The glaze is beautiful high gloss white and the sink really makes a statement in front of the bay window in our kitchen. A contemporary transitional nod to a farmhouse sink--the design is timeless and clean without the apron front. I will update on wear and tear once we really start using it. (we are waiting on counters) I plan to use OXO sink mats to protect the sink basin and any glasses or dishes that might get dropped in by my kids. I had these in our old 42" double basin cast iron sink and they really helped. I am thrilled to have found such a large, functional beautiful single basin sink.
Specification-wise, it weighs in at something like 200lbs according to our delivery person, so you need to make sure your cabinet has enough support built in to handle the weight of the sink plus any water/dishes it will hold. Our carpenter added extra 2X4 support legs and ledges to our already heavy duty custom built cabinet to support the weight of this sink. Also note that the sink has flanges on the underside of the lip to basin curve (like external cast iron flying buttresses to support the construction of the sink) all the way around where the sink sits into the cabinet: one at each corner, 2 in the front and 2 in the back-6 total. I didn't see these in the spec picture--I only looked at the basin dimension versus the lip. Therefore, if you plan to sit it into a 42" sink base cabinet the way we did, make sure you are able to fit those flanges inside the cabinet walls (in addition to the basin), or figure out if you have enough meat on the inside of your cabinets to chisel out for them. This is what we ended up doing so that it would sit in/on the cabinet supported by the cabinet base's 4 walls and extra supports. This is an incredibly well made sink by a company who has been crafting cast iron fixtures for almost 100 years.
