Elevating the essentials to a fine art, the Orion collection is more refined, restrained, and elegant than ever before. This Orion Neomatik 39 radiates confidence and guarantees the luxury of Glashutte precision. It features a 38.5 mm stainless steel tripartite case with a galvanized black dial under a scratch-resistant domed sapphire crystal. It has silver-tone (rhodium-plated) baton hands and slim applied indices as hour markers. This is complemented by a gold-tone "Neomatik" text referring to its movement, signed crown at the 3 o'clock position, sub-seconds at the 6 o'clock position, and finely drawn minute markers. It is fitted with a black leather strap crafted from Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan and secured with a stainless steel signed buckle. The exhibition caseback with an extra-large domed sapphire crystal window showcases the brilliantly decorated and ultra-thin in-house caliber, DUW 3001, a German automatic movement beating at 21,600 vibrations per hour, generating 43 hours of power reserve, and is water-resistant up to 50 meters/165 feet.
Like all of our watches, this NOMOS Glashutte Orion Neomatik 39 Automatic Stainless Steel Black Dial Black Leather Strap Mens Watch is brand new and comes in its original packaging.
A fairly young company, NOMOS Glashutte was founded by Roland Schwertner in 1990 to become Germany's largest manufacturer of mechanical timepieces. Situated in Glashutte, a small town south of Berlin and near Dresden, within the eastern Ore Mountains, the unique town has been producing fine timepieces for over 175 years. Known for its stringent quality standards, the appellation "Glashutte" was placed under special protection. For a company to label their timepieces as "Glashutte watches", at least 50 percent of the value of a watch's caliber must be made entirely in Glashutte. NOMOS Glashutte goes far beyond what is required and upped the ante to 95 percent for their caliber movements.
