How To Order Our Chains

If you order multiple quantities, they will be delivered as one continuous chain. The exception is welded brass chains, which have a maximum length of 10 feet. Quick connectors are available separately for extending chain lengths.

About Brass Chains Brass chains can be used to decorate both indoor and outdoor spaces. Brass is naturally rust-resistant, so it's a fantastic choice for the wet conditions of rain chains, hanging plants, and any projects near sprinklers. Brass is a timeless favorite because it will age naturally in an unlacquered finish, making it a great pair with vintage chandeliers and antique light fixtures.
About Steel Chains Steel is one of the most popular metals of all time due to its strength and versatility. Additionally, it's a perfect metal for chain and decor because it can be finished to accentuate any room. Since steel is susceptible to rust, it's best for interior use only. Our hefty steel chains are ideal for hanging heavy chandeliers, large mirrors, and picture frames. Our smaller, more delicate-looking chains are often used as lamp chain or as an accent in DIY projects.
About Stainless Steel Chains When it comes to household hardware and products, stainless steel is used in just about everything. Stainless steel is great for general purpose use, not only because it resists corrosion, but it's also extremely durable. Our customers often use these chains for hanging plants, patio decorations, and swings.
About Welded Chains Welded chains, signified by a -W in the title, are made from links that are welded closed. This increases maximum weight load, but the links cannot be opened up to directly connect. A chain connector, sold separately, may be required to attach the chain.
About Unwelded Chains Unwelded chains, signified by a -U in the title, are partially or entirely made from links that are not welded. The weight capacity will not be as high as welded chains, but for most unwelded chains, the links can be opened with pliers to adjust the length or directly connect to an item.
About Maximum Chain Lengths Unwelded brass chains (-U) have no length restrictions, while welded brass chains (-W) may be limited to 10 feet. For continuous lengths over 10 feet of welded brass chains, please check with us for availability.
