We are very happy with this cat tree! Assembling it was easy. All the pieces were labeled and the instructions were very understandable. They feel like they were good quality (not compressed cardboard) and wouldn't be easily torn apart by the cats. After assembly, the tree felt very stable even without using the anchor tie and having our two large cats climbing up and down on it (along with the occasional frantic leap to escape the energetic puppy). Honestly, we are very impressed with this tree. Even thinking about getting a second one for the upstairs as well.
