Cotton hemp yarn

I did know what to expect with this yarn, but I find it easier than I thought to work with. Still soft but with a dryer feel than the acrylic yarns I am used to working with. Some said it split a bit on them but I didn't have that issue much. I will think about using this type of yarn again in the future for projects that need a lighter feel but also need the structure the yarn provides.

Plant fiber love!

I was so pleased to find a cotton hemp blend for summer I got enough to make a top, ordered the Raven color. So far I have only crocheted a swatch but really like the feel of it, not too rough but not too soft, I don't think it will pill uncontrollably like some other cotton blends I've used.

Give this yarn a chance...

When my first order for this yarn arrived, I was excited to try it on a specific crochet project. I started the project and quickly became frustrated with it's initial performance–it is prone to splitting. The feel of the yarn and fabric it creates is wonderful and I was determined to overcome the splitting issue. I'm glad I did as I found that by simply changing my hook to a more rounded tip did the trick, and the project is coming along great! I would recommend this yarn with that caveat. While I haven't yet tried to knit with Cotton Hemp yet, I'll definitely start with blunt/rounded needles. If you're looking for a natural-fiber yarn that produces a great feeling fabric with good stitch definition, you've found it. I have purchased this yarn several times... I think it is becoming a stash staple. Swatch shown in Husk(774-098AM) and Mineral(774-123AD)
