Had to do a small modification for the tank to fit. The front corners were a little to squared off to fit in the hole. And the new tank had and extra vent tube. Both were fixed and the install went well. I will order again from Parts Geek. Good price.

1970 Volkswagen Beetle Volkswagon Fuel Tank

Gas tank fits perfect, high quality and comes with outlet tube and plastic screen. Aluminum tape was placed on the tank vent, inlet and overflow tubes to keep moisture out while shipping. I ended up washing out the tank prior to use with acetone to remove any residue left in the tank from it's manufacturing. Good thing I did there was black paint over spray inside the tank that came out with the acetone wash.

JUST WHAT I WANTED

Ordered this for my 13 year project that has been sitting in the garage waiting for me to complete. Had gas in it and it turned to varnish. Ordered this tank to replace and it is GREAT. Same as one I took out and the price no one could touch. Tank was delivered in four days and same as sending unit. Thanks Parts Geek will be ordering parts from you again.
