Fits perfectly in my laundry room, in a little larger area than the regular litter box it replaced. You can also set an air freshener inside, smaller litter bag, some food and extra toys because of the additional space. My kitten throws litter everywhere so I should get a covered litter box and it would fix any complaint I have about it being messy. It wipes right off, and I hand vac the rest. My kitty waits and plays on it while Im getting his food ready. Scratching all over, excited and running. Not showing and real wear yet after a month. It took him a while, but now he loves the hammock and I wish the platforms and scratching areas were larger and more enticing. The kitty shaped box was a walk-through for him, so I took the cute little pillow out and tossed it into the hammock which is probably what encouraged its use. I placed a few toys in the kitty shaped box to use it as his "toy box". So now my kitty carries his toys in and out to use them. Its so funny. And I swap them out with the ones below so he doesnt get bored. I am in the country and its nearly impossible for me to keep a cat inside. They always want to go out with the digs, so I have this for him and another "playground" that is much larger in my great room. So fingers crossed he stays in.
