My husband is a 30-32 with grand dreams of being a 32, so that's what he always buys--don't ask, I sure don't. He always buys things a bit looser because he wears layers. We purchased these in a large, and they're just under what his 32 jeans fit like. So, I would for sure make sure to take that into account. He doesn't wear layers when he wears these. He said if he did, he might melt or expire from heat stroke. Considering the amount of blood thinners he's on, that's high praise. They are quite baggy in the legs, though. Not slim cut at all. He didn't want them for fashion, however, so that's not really a concern. They keep him warm and that keeps him happy, which in turn keeps me happy. I recommend them, just make sure you pay attention to the sizing. if your guy is a 32, the large might be a tish bit snuggly on the waist.
