+ Generous hood helps protect against sunburn on face and head + Stays surprisingly cool in the hot sun + Dries quickly after perspiring (or jumping in a lake!) And I finally figured out the tiny "pocket" on the inside lower front hem of the shirt -- it is not a pocket at all but a little patch of microfiber fabric for cleaning sunglasses, camera lenses, etc. Very handy now that I know what it is. :)

This is a great shirt, folks.

This is the first of this type of sun shirt that I have ever bought. Father's Day present to myself. I love it. I wear a lot of tech fabrics including pants, shorts and shirts. This is different. The hood is very useful, as are the thumb holes. It doesn't trap heat and it's very lightweight. I got the ‘tie dye' print and it's a bit loud for me, but I love it anyway. Get it.
