Great cleaning product for fabrics and carpet

This is a great cleaning product. This is labeled as a laundry stain remover, but we also use it as a heavy-duty cleaning product for fabrics, carpets, fabric covered furniture. It wouldn't use it on plastic, wood or metal painted surfaces: a bit too strong for painted surfaces. I also like the powder form: you can make poultices from the powder form that are great for stubborn stains in clothes or carpets.

Stains

Best stain remover ever.. Tough stains I applied it and left it on overnight before putting it into the washing machine. It completely removed the stain.

Good for more than laundry

Great at stains, especially bio stains, and regular dirt. It foams on the stain, so it makes you FEEL like its working, and then you realize it did work. I use it not only on laundry stains (and yes it gets out blood), but also to pretreat carpet before using the scrubber. Last summer we used it to scrub mildew off our old deck (combined with a little bleach in water) - made the greenish blackish wood nice and white again, and also worked on the adjacent sections of privacy fence. I used to use clorox cleanup on my rural (molded plastic) mailbox - its in partial shade and gets a little mossy; this works great to clean it up. Keep some bottles in the laundry but also in the garage and with other cleaning supplies. Its not bleach, but it does contain oxygen and, like hydrogen peroxide, will lighten fabrics if you leave it on too long or let it dry on the fabric. It only needs from about 30 seconds to a few minutes to work on stains and then you can toss your pretreated items into the wash. Great stuff.
