The light dispersal of this lamp is far superior to a much more expensive bulb I had previously purchased elsewhere. In a bathroom vanity fixture, it is necessary to have the light cover more than the 180 degrees that many of these LEDs cover, and clear bulbs, rather than frosted are far to harsh for the setting. This offers pleasing quality of light at an extraordinary energy savings over the incandescent lamps we had before. We have been changing over our remaining incandescant lights to LED, and have been seeing a significant drop in our power usage.
