It actually does a good job

I miss the old Bunn coffee maker, but I got tired of replacing it every 3-5 years. I decided to give this one a try due to the reviews. I am shocked at how good it actually is. It only takes a wee bit longer to brew a whole pot compared to the Bunn. I can buy3+ of these for the cost of one Bunn. One of the reasons I got this was because many reviews said you can pour and not drip. YES YOU CAN! I make a pot each morning. I make iced coffee in the afternoon and DH makes his tea daily. It will drip if you are dumping a full pot into a pitcher and it is because you are pouring much faster. When I pour the first coffee cup from a full pot I pour normal and it does great. This is simplicity at it's finest. Since I have only been using this 12 cup Proctor Silex just a little over a week, and being a Sr. Citizen, I am just not in the groove yet of my morning routine with the new coffee maker. I'll get there. I am considering purchasing another one of these for the Travel Trailer. I would easily say this is the best simple coffee maker made. I expect it will last a long time and if not, then it will be an easy one to buy again. I just hope they keep making it and it stays the same. Maybe I'll buy a spare too! It's like when you find something that is actually good, then when you need another one, they no longer make it.

Good buy for the money

I needed a new coffee maker and was looking for something that was highly rated yet inexpensive. This is it. It works quickly, quietly. My favorite thing is that it doesn't drip when you pour a cup. Other posters said the same thing so I took a chance and I'm very happy I did. I love the on/off switch, which is great when I'm home and I can leave it on as long as I want.

Perfect for Me

The coffeemaker is easy to load due in part to its height, The water window on the right side makes it a left handed fill if you need to see the installed water volume. I have only made 3 partial pots of coffee so far and they were ready promptly. No spills as the decanter is designed cleverly. No clock and no auto shut off which is what I need and do not need. Ideally a thermal coffee butler goes great with this unit. Ease of use and price make this a good buy.
