The stock pot/fryer is well built. Perhaps a bit thin, but it would be pretty heavy if it was made like the 50s and 60s. The handles are ample in size, and have 4 rivets securing them to the pot. The lid, however, is spot welded. It did not come with a clip to keep the center pole from coming out of the steamer/frying plate or a hole large enough to insert the hanger shaped handle to lift a turkey out. However, the pole does fit snugly into the plate which is great for steaming. However, it can not be used for extraction without a little modification. The steamer/frying basket is also well built, with 3 feet on the bottom to keep it high enough off the bottom for good circulation. The burner housing is very well built. The burner plate is 10" across, giving this massive pot a very large heating area. However, the steel braided hose could have been a foot or two longer. The pot and the burner come in separate boxes. ARC used UPS to ship mine. The problem was that the UPS label said 1 of 1 on it instead of 1 of 2. This caused a problem as the pot arrived one day sooner than the burner. Had the UPS label said 1 of 2, or a manifest been attached, a series of messages, and phone calls could have been avoided. They are in Lakeview TX, which has a puddle and no lake, with a view of sagebrush and coyotes chasing jackrabbits. So perhaps my expectations were a little high. Overall, I give this 4 stars. The gauge of the pot and lid could have been thicker. Lid handle could have been riveted. Steamer pole and plate could be used as turkey extractor with very little modification. Braided hose for LP line a bit short. Last but not least. A shipping manifest with both tracking numbers or a label 1 of 2, NOT 1 of 1, or an email showing both tracking numbers when purchased as a package.
