6-Piece Fat Strap Jar Bungees

We purchased these to secure our bird's cage in the back seat of our vehicle on a recent trip when we had to take her with us. The seat belt fit across the cage, but made it difficult to get the door open, and left one side of the cage less secure than the other. So we decided to buy these and try them. These cords are wide and flat, with fairly large plastic hooks on the end, not the metal hooks like some bungee cords have. We used the two largest and hooked them together. with the ends of each cord back to cargo hooks in the cargo area. The cage was very secure with that method. The cords are quite strong - my husband and I each had to pull on a cord in order to fasten them together. It looks to me like the plastic hooks are made of fairly strong plastic. We were quite happy with how well they secured the cage, and yet still allowed us access to the bird. They lasted our 1800 mile trip with no show of wear and tear, so I think they'll last longer than bungees usually do. They are now a permanent part of the equipment of the car, stored in the cargo area in case of need.
