Diptyque L'Ombre Dans LEau Eau de Toilette Perfume for Women, 1.7 oz

This is the second perfume Diptyque ever made, it came out in 1983. This has a lacklustre review in one my favourite books (Perfumes: The A-Z Guide) but I love it and so does one of my favourite beauty journalists who writes for a national UK paper (she does a great review of this fragrance on her Insta). It's a floral for sure, but it's very green, very wet smelling, like the roses and blackcurrants have just been rained on. This is often described as a summer fragrance, even by Diptyque, but even though there is a green sharpness to it,I would find this too sweet to wear in humid NYC summers (Philosykos is my Diptyque go to in the summer). But I think this is perfect for autumn days, especially rainy ones. Note that this review is for the EDT, the EDP smells a little different, the rose is stronger. I always go back and forth about buying the EDP, which didn't come out until 2012. I think I prefer the original formula.
