Not for dogs!
I bought this because other people said it could be used on dogs. That is not true. I had a very matted poodle (standard) and tried to use it on him. The clipper is very loud and gets extremely hot right away. It also weighs 6 lbs. That is heavy! I accidentally cut my dog and had to take him to the emergency vet which cost over $500 to get stitches. I would NOT recommend this clipper for dogs, and I have been grooming dogs for over 30 years.it sliced my dog’s skin and he got 3 stitches to close up a huge gash.
