material is strong and easy to wipe. has one Velcro strap inside which i usually use to faster a thermos if we're using one that day or i suppose you could use it to hold a drink or small water bottle and keep it from smooshing a sandwich in a bag. but if you use a bento or other style hard lunchbox inside, it's not very useful. could be slightly deeper to allow for drink or have a pocket inside like many others for napkins or utensils. but all in all a good material. December and it looks almost brand new still and we have it since August. just taking one star for lack of value for comparative features. but if you're kid cares about the design more than this stuff then it's worth it because this design cannot be found easily in stores.
