The brand name of this monitor stand is Mind Reader. It is all made of metal and is all black. The metal means it will be very durable and last a long time. It is sturdy and not flimsy. It weights 2.86 pounds so it must be able to hold some weight. The ergonomics of the curved legs makes it so it can hold the heavier weight of a monitor or whatever. It keeps the object well balanced. I say that because this can not only be used for a monitor stand. It can also be used as a stand for a printer or a computer. It is so versatile that it can even be used as a lap top riser, a desk shelf or whatever else you need. It has lots of perforated holes on the top. This is to allow the heat to escape. I use mine as a lap top riser and have not found the lap top or the stand to become hot. I'm not sure about a monitor because I don't use it for that reason. It also comes with black rubber feet to protect your desk top surface from scratches. I have an old computer desk so I am not worried about that part of it. The stand is very nice and even looks expensive. It has just the right height to reduce eye and neck strain. The Monitor Stand is 11.33 (W) x 4.21 (H) x 14.88 (L). The only con I have to say is if you are using it as a monitor stand and you have a full size keyboard it will not slide under the stand. My full size keyboard is 17.25". Since I use mine as a laptop riser I use the underneath as a storage space. I put my letter opener, stapler, pens and pencils and even my tv remote control because I watch tv while I'm on my laptop underneath it. It works very well. I REALLY recommend this product.

I had two books elevating my large LCD computer monitor so I didn't have to look down at the lower parts of the screen. That's not good for your posture. This riser replaced the books. I also get more desk space this way since there is 4 inches / 10 cm of free space now under the monitor. The product is just the right size - not too big, not too small. On a less crowded desk than mine you could store the keyboard under there. My keyboard is already in a drawer below. The riser is strong and has rubber feet to keep it in place and avoid scratching the desk. It is also perforated with ventilation holes to protect devices from overheating such as when using a high performance laptop. The product images show a laptop on the riser, but for me that might be uncomfortable having to lift up my arms. There are other products which are sloped. However, in a situation where you may be using a laptop standing up, this would be a big help. So those are the main features – strong construction, handy size, non-scratch feet, and ventilation holes.
