The Dewin Portable 12V 150W Car Windshield Window Defroster works, but it doesn't get very hot. So, it takes a while for the window to defog and it will take much longer for the windshield to defrost. If you don't have heat on a cold winters day, it beats nothing.

I dislike the heater because it doesn't blow hot air hard enough. It has high but on fan not heat. Would not recommend to buy. Also the bracket it very cheap made and will break easy.
