Astaxanthin is a naturally occurring red pigment in the class of compounds known as carotenoids and is found in high concentrations in algae and salmon. (Where it causes salmon’s well known pink-red color.) Astaxanthin is best known as an extremely potent antioxidant, but using it as a supplement has also been shown to support skin, gut, ocular, and immune health. Our Astaxanthin product uses the patented AstaReal raws which have had over 70 human clinical studies backing its many benefits. We recommend just taking one Astaxanthin softgel per day for a total dosage of 12 mg. Due to the olive oil base in the softgels it is not necessary to take this product with a meal, but doing so will ensure optimal absorption. While higher doses can be taken safely we don’t recommend exceeding 2 softgels (24 mg) per day.

I started taking this for the purpose of improving my skin, eyes and brain function. I have seen a slight darkening of my skin, which is a good thing. It's slight at 2 1/2 months. I have also seen a lessening of my cellulite. To be fair I also started taking NAD+ At the same time. I plan to continue taking both. I'm hoping to see other positive occurrences. I started this brand because of third party testing.

My first bottle I took one per day for a couple weeks, then started talking two per day for about two weeks, then back to one because I don't want to run it is two per day too much. Also, why is there water in there? Doesn't the water dilute the efficiency of the product?
