Shopped around for tires due to the sticker shock for 255/55/R20 size. I wanted an inexpensive set of tires for my GMC Acadia Denali. The tires I replaced was a set of Bridgestones. My review for Dry Handling, Wet Handling, Ride Handling, Ride Noise, Tread Life and Winter Traction as follows:
Dry Handling
-Very good grip when accelerating from a stop. Tires did not spin or squealed. Felt very confident with the tires capabilities while turning whether it is a tight corner or long sweeping entrance/exit ramps.
Wet Handling
-I live in Florida and it has been raining a bit. Felt very confident in the tires capabilities of performing on wet pavement.
Ride Handling
-Not sure why I see bad reviews for handling? A reviewer said had issues with noise and vibration. For me, I have experienced zero vibrations at any speeds. My vehicle drives straight with the tires installed. For noise, I'll explain in a bit.
Ride Noise
-Tires performance for noise is the same, if not, better than the Bridgestones I had prior to installing the new set. It does not howl at any speeds. For me, I simply hear the different textures from newly paved stretches of highway to beaten-up, neglected streets. Unless you drive a high-end vehicle that's equipped with the best sound deadening materials, of course you wouldn't hear a thing! Going over bumps, I noticed it wasn't as harsh as the Bridgestones. I commute a particular stretch of not-so-smooth road, the Bridgestones let me felt every bone-jarring bumps. These, it wasn't so harsh! For that, I was extremely pleased and made my commute a pleasure! For my everyday driving, these performed satisfactorily!
Tread Life
-As of this review, I cannot give an honest evaluation. As long as I follow the recommended manufacturer's tire rotation schedule, I would be satisfied if it reaches its typical wear performance.
Winter Traction
-I cannot provide a performance reviews for winter driving as I live in Florida and have never seen it snowing. Maybe a light flurry but that's about it.
Overall, I choose Simple Tire it had an aggressive Memorial Day sale promotion. It was so competitive, it beat out other online tire retailers even my local tire retailers too! It was easy to navigate the site to find tires and checking out was just as easy. I opted to have them shipped to my home instead of shipping to an installer as I didn't have a dedicated day to bring in my vehicle. Once I brought it in, I had no issues. It was a typical in and out install. I would definitely buy again!!!
