I've gone through several apple corers in my life. Some I had to sent back, some got thrown away because they were so awful. • This one is a WINNER, an absolute winner. • The handle is very user-friendly, even after nearly a bushel of apples, my hand still was not tired. • The serrated end of the shaft is razor sharp • The entire shaft is extremely sturdy. Unlike most other corers, this one did not wobble and flex at all, which made the cutting through the apple very efficient and sharp. • Everything above makes this product a winner, but for me the cherry on the top is the fact that the ‘jaws' open up with a simple pressing down of the thumb, therefore the removal of the core is a cinch. • All my previous ones were hollow tubes, and it took a serious digging trying to remove the pesky cores, which never came out in one piece. • I definitely would recommend this corer.
