Great screws for decking projects

These screws are great to use on deck planks. They drill easily and have a flat head that sits flush without splitting surrounding wood. Also, I find that the torx head is much less prone to stripping than some of the other similar screws that use a square head. Great product. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

outstanding product

these are pretty nice in concept and in practice. They have an extra bit of twist at the top of the screw that seems to keep the wood from splitting when you tighten down the last bit. They also have a sort of serration at the tip that keeps you from having to use a pre-drilled hole. This also seems to keep the wood from splitting when driven with no pre-drilled hole. The package even came with a nice star bit to drive them with. I like star screws the most because they are easier to drive without stripping the heads. So smooth!

I am definately not a handy person but these screws were very easy to use and went in very smooth. I would definately recommend these screws for all different types of projects.
