Zinc orotate is a high-bioavailability mineral salt that combines elemental Zinc with a heterocyclic compound known as orotic acid. The use of orotic acid as a mineral transport facilitator was pioneered by the renowned german orthomolecular physician dr. Hans nieper as a way to enhance the uptake of supplemental minerals into body tissues. The fact that orotic acid is a substance produced in the body makes it an outstanding mineral transporter, able to readily penetrate cell membranes and increase tissue concentrations.

The most effective zinc supplement for me
I tried many different types of zinc supplement. Swanson's zinc orotate works best for me and seems to support immunity well. So I take it daily. The only drawback is the price, which higher than other zinc supplements. But its effectiveness worth the price difference.
