PART DIDNT FIT MY '96 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE

This didn't fit my '96 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LIMITED 5.2L! I ordered this %26 a good release cable %26 both were bad fit. The mechanic had to run out to NAPA to get another of this part because it didn't fit. They had the right part %26 explained(he took this with him)that this was wrong for my Jeep. The NAPA one fit%26 cost 3xs as much. I normally would exchange but the mechanic being in the middle of the job needed the part immediately. I typed in %26 my Jeep is registered on Wal-Mart.com with all the necessary criteria/specs %26 the part that was recommended as good fit was wrong. I am going to try to return it. I've bought ALOT of parts from Wal-Mart.com using the same jeep info with never a problem that I can recall before. Maybe a computer glitch as PartsGeek seems to be a reputable place.
