Simple installation. I used the 3 screws and drywall anchors that were provided but I could have made installation even easier by using the double stick tape that was included. Once the mounting plate was screwed in place I simply slid the base into the mounting plate until it “clicked”. I chose not to install the 9 volt battery for backup power to avoid any battery leakage over time. I measured the distance from my electrical outlet to the laser base. Then I zip tied the excess electrical cord and plugged the cord into the electrical socket and laser base. Next I parked my car in the ideal location. Even though I have a 2 car garage with 2 doors I only have one car. You can set a switch to use one or two lasers but I chose to turn on both and use them on one car instead of two. Using a broom handle I adjusted one laser (by gently tapping it) to a spot on my dashboard to indicate the distance where I wanted to stop from my front wall. The second laser I adjusted to point to the middle of my dashboard so I could easily tell that my car was centered between the garage door. My garage entrance is extremely narrow and it's easy to scrape the side(s) of the car. By using both lasers I can easily center my car when both lasers are focused on the spots I targeted on my dashboard. Overall it took me about 30 minutes to install and get everything just right. But honestly it would have only taken me about half the time if I could have reached over my car to adjust the lasers by hand instead of tapping them with a broom handle until the beam was exactly where I wanted it. I'm very pleased with the Fosmon Garage Parking Assistant. It does what it supposed to do. It's easy to set up and use and I bought it for a reasonable price.

Works well and good design

The lasers are comfortably visible even when the garage is lit by daylight. It includes a strip of double sided tape which helps with the positioning the device during install. For a more permanent install or peace of mind, just use the included screw and anchor. The wires for the 9v backup battery power can appear too short at first glance. However, there is enough wire tucked within the device to span the length of the battery compartment. Pull that wire out for easier installation. Lastly, the lasers are emitted deep within the cylinders, and this should help reduce, if not eliminate, the risks of inadvertent eye contact. When not staring head-on into the cylinder intentionally, there is no direct sight line from one's eye to the source of the laser.
