Bowl looks great , but flimsy

The bowl works fine, and my cats do stand upright to eat. However, it's not made of glass as described; instead, it's a hard plastic. This is worrying since prolonged use of plastic food and water bowls can lead to feline acne. The design is also quite flimsy, as the pegs easily fall out from under the bowl when lifted.
