It is extremely important to replace this lamp every 12 months to maintain proper system efficacy.Why using a genuine VIQUA lamp is important: VIQUA UV systems and lamps are tested and certified as a complete unit. Using an authentic VIQUA lamp ensures proper system performance and water treatment. Works as expected
The replacement bulb works just as expected. It arrived safe and sound, undamaged. Packaging was adequate in protecting this bulb during shipment. Install as easy as it's not my first time and bulb is still working almost one year later. I'm nearing the replacement period so will be ordering from the same vendor again.

I learned an expensive lesson
This lamp worked perfectly even with the original factory ballast. When the existing lamp stopped working I bought a knockoff lamp, which didn't work, the seller suggested that the ballast may be bad so I bought a new ballast ($180) and the lamp still wouldn't turn on. Finally, I bought the factory lamp, and it worked. The rest of the story is that my entire home plumbing was contaminated with coliform. Now I had to invest in bottled water and boiling water through the entire month of December. I'm going to take another sample lab tested to verify that my water is potable.
