Anji Mountain Bamboo 42 x 48 Chair Mat for Carpet and Hard Floor, Rectangular, Oak

I have had several plastic mats and hated them. I've had this bamboo mat a few days and I loved it from the minute I put it down. My chair rolls easily and it looks nice. I love the fact that it rolls up and can be move if necessary.

When I first unrolled it and put it in place I wished it would have had the segments aligned in the shorter rather than the longer direction. It made an annoying click-click-click as I rolled my desk chair over it. With time, that settled down and the noise is now essentially gone. I caution people with full, thick carpet to buy a version designed for heavier carpet. My carpet is old and flattened with age but had it been any thicker I think I would have had problems because of flexing during use. But that's what it says in the details when you order it. This model is for hard floors or thin carpets/rugs and it works as advertised. It is extremely pretty. My only complaint is that I tend to roll off the edge - but that's my problem. I didn't have room to put in a larger one. Had I been able to buy one 48" deep rather than 42" I wouldn't have this problem. Overall it is precisely as advertised and it works better than I had hoped.
