Shimano Fishing IX4000R RDRG CLAM Spinning Reels [IX4000RC]

i have a much older ax4000ra which is nearly identical to my new ix4000r. i've had the older one for 25 years. after using the new one for many hours over many days, i don't see any reason the new one won't last as long as the only part that appears to be different is the plastic spool (aluminum on old one). it is a press together item so it has a seam. you may want to lightly sand the casting lip for smoother casts. also, the spool doesn't have a push button release like my older reel. i purchased online with free ship to store and it only took 4 days for the item to arrive. i think the next step up in a shimano reel with rear drag and quick fire is the spirex which costs about 4x what this one does.
