I originally purchased this to have on hand for storms if my power goes out. Thankfully I did not have that problem this year, but I did find it useful for those days I wanted to sit out my porch and there was no breeze coming thru. Since it is battery powered there is no concern of a cord or where to plug it in. However I do have to make sure I have D cell batteries on hand, not something I use in anything else. The fan while not a power house does create enough if a breeze to keep me comfortable and able to sit on my porch on those hot summer days. Good idea if you need a breeze somewhere where a plug but be aware you used a lot you will need a stock of D cell batteries.

Efficient, quiet, easy to care for, personal size

This is a personal size fan, which works better %26 more efficiently than any personal fan I have owned. It runs with several sources of power; D batteries, the included charging cord into to a lap top or an outlet. It has 3 choices for speed of the fan, and a timer is optional for 1, 3 or 5 hours. It puts out out a very soft noiseless low fan, a medium speed low noise fan %26 a stronger fan with low noise as well. I could sleep with it on all night. The fan blades %26 housing can be pointed up, straight ahead or down easily. I like that it has easy to do cleaning instructions, %26 that it works well on my bed stead or desk, doesn’t take up much room %26 is compact %26 lightweight enough it can be taken camping or to a different part of the house easily. In the Wal-Mart App it looked to me like a medium sized fan. It is more a personal size, %26 yet cools as good as a larger fan.

it's really small. perfect for desktop or bedside. strong air output . has power cord that can plug into same power sources as phone or notebook, in addition to D batteries. does not come with the batteries. i got it for air circulation in my above ground storm shelter which does not have electricity to it.
