Very pleasantly surprised! I had been looking at the Book Nooks online for a good while and I had seen some that were made of chipboard and cost a ridiculous price. I discovered this version at a good deal and I am so glad I ordered it. Not only did it show up amazingly fast, it was packaged safe and secure. It is absolutely beyond what I could have expected. The amount of details is phenomenal: Most of the books are fabricated with covers and pages. There are some "fake sets", but they can easily be modified to look more like individual items. The quality of the details in the scroll work for the main accents is sharp and intricate. Even the shelves are decently sturdy. The small accent decor is so cute and clever, you'll be running around the house looking for the button tin and digging through the junk drawer just to add your own touch. The majority is made from craft balsa wood and very high quality pressed panels, the panels sheets are about ⅜ thick, so it's sturdy all around. There are paintings, desk accessories, just little touches that will have people seeing something new every time they look at it. I haven't finished mine yet, but it's very easy to modify and personalize everything. It also looks amazing on its own. I've decided to do a bunch of the accent panels like the window frame and other minor features with mica powers. It looks like some of the Harry Potter Mini-Verse potion bottles will fit the scale of the room along with some of the other mini verse sets so you can add extras to make it even more awesome. fortunately I have a handful of Swarovski Crystal bead pendants that have needed a permanent home and I have definitely found it. I cannot wait to see it all lit up with the crystals and the mica powders it's it's going to be even more surreal. If you like model building, know somebody who may benefit from finding a new hobby, or just looking for something special to do with the kids or grandkids, I highly recommend this for both beginners and experts alike.

My daughter loves to read and do crafts, so this was the perfect gift for her birthday. She spent the week making it and it turned out amazing! It's looks fantastic on her bookshelf. She was so happy and that made me so happy too!
