PROFESSIONAL "S" are the classic knives for the professional kitchen. The knives are made of proprietary special formula steel that has been perfected over the years. Combined with ZWILLING's signature ice-hardening technique, these FRIODUR blades are harder, sharper, they will NOT STAIN or chip and they retain their sharpness longer.
Honed and hand-finished by the most skilled artisans, the knives' laser-controlled edge is incredibly sharp. The sturdy bolster provides the right balance and acts as a finger guard. Precision-forged from a single piece of solid steel, these threerivet handle knives deliver optimum balance and safe handling. This is what we paid for; quality, sturdy knives. Sharper than expected. One slice will go through a thick cut, even gristle. Goodbye to sawing. I wanted to pay for quality, and so far, we're not disappointed. Order arrived very quickly, also, I'd say less than 10 days.

Your Last Steak Knife Set
Based on our experience with larger kitchen knives in this series, we purchased the set so Steak Knives. Expensive, yes, but with a little maintenance these should be the last steak knives we ever buy (& we can probably leave them to our kids). Beautiful balance & weight in your hand from the single piece of steel. The blade is razor sharp and as we have learned, will keep the edge well. We did get 5” covers (they should come with these) and a good sharpener. With regular touch ups, only the “Fine” sharpener should be needed.
