Mainstays 20" x 48" Folding Table, Black

This is the second table like this I have purchased from Walmart.com. The table itself is great, sturdy, small enough to fit in tight place where a normal sized card table is just too bulky. I use this for many things, folding clothes, spreading out paperwork, organizing my files for taxes, wrapping gifts, laying out fabric pieces, you name it. Great value for the money. If they could improve how they package the table for shipping, it would save me having to return it to the store because of all the scratches on the table top. Nobody likes to buy something new and receive it all scratched up.

I bought this table to hold my modem and printer and one telephone. After reading that the top might not be very sturdy, I used a piece of plywood the size of my printer to better distribute the weight. It seems to be working well after 10 days. When the printer operates, there is SLIGHT movement of the table but it's not a problem at all. It was all together in the box and easy to lay upside down on the floor and open/lock the legs, then set up. I'm 73 years old and managed to do that and set it upright by myself. I could also use this for a sewing table or a cutting/craft table. The manufacturer should do a complete box around this product, check the top for scratches or damage. Maybe it is shipped from China in a crate with others, in which case Walmart is responsible for any damage after the crate is opened. Mine was in perfect shape, but I can see it might be a problem, Walmart is good about returns but there's all that time and effort involved. I'm happy and the price is right. This is the 4th item I've bought in the Main Stays line. They have all been better made and satisfactory.
