This is obviously not a thick, high quality area rug, but for the price and what it promises, I'm thrilled. I have hardwood and an older large dog who sometimes slips, but putting these rugs around her traffic areas has really helped her. They immediately lie flat on the floor and I have just washed them all with great success. People had said they were soft—they are, and do not seem to have lost quality after having been washed and dried. I washed one at a time of the longer runners successfully in a regular sized washer. Definitely recommend.
