Madelco Caf Brew 5-Cup Glass Coffee Decanter

Broke the carafe on my 4 cup GE and searched all over the web for a replacement to no avail. Found this one on several sites at a cost of over $10 plus $10 shipping (almost the cost of a new complete GE 4 cup brewer with carafe). Found a second site with the same cost for the same carafe but just under $6 shipping. Same carafe from Walmart with ship to store was just over $9 and thats including tax. As to the carafe, it is smaller than the original GE model by about a cup and a half. It comes with two adapters of different heights that snap into the lid to allow you to brew but still remove the carafe to pour a cup of coffee. The smaller one worked just fine on my GE 4 cup model. I was thinking about rating it a 4 because of the 1 1/2 cup less size but decided to go with a 5 because ordering it from Walmart saved me over $24 from having to purchase a new complete brewer. I'm one of those people who fix rather than throw away so this made me feel good knowing I was not throwing away a good brewer for lack of a carafe.
