Works Great!

Almost spent $20 for a 4 port without a power supply. This one cost $12 and has a power supply. Also has long cable lengths on power supply and USB cable. And a on/off switch. Great price and lifetime limited warranty.

Needed more USB ports. There are cheaper non-powered hubs (for printers and powered items) but I really needed a powered hub (mouse, wireless USB adapter, speakers and such). It was rated for use with Win 7 and 8 so I went with it instead of the 7-port hub (though this still gives me a couple of free ports in rear).

Great little USB hub

I ordered the 4 port hub, instead of the 7 port one, not because of the price, but, because of the size. I have a new Dell Win 8.1 tablet that has a micro USB port (1 only) and it does not put out enough power to power a portable (2.5") external HDD. I have my massive music collection on a 2 TB drive and needed something to power that drive, thus, the powered adapter. I use a micro USB to standard USB converter and plug the hub into it. Then plug my HDD into the hub. Then I plug in the hub and turn the power on. Drive now works great with my DJ software, on my tablet, and bluetooth jambox. Seems to be well built and is small enough to carry in a small case or backpack. I associate quality with the name "Gear Head".
